Mt Kenya ascent via the Chogoria route is a scenic hike as it takes you through epic landscapes such as waterfalls, lakes, forest and alpine vegetations to spotting some wildlife such as waterbucks, buffaloes and elephants when very lucky. There are no mountain huts along this route but we use quality, waterproof and spacious tents.
Masai mara national reserve it’s globally famous for its exceptional wildlife population of the ‘Africa’s Big Five’ which includes Masai lions, African lions, rhinoceros, African buffaloes and leopards. Other small and big residents include; hyenas, wild dogs, giraffes, cheetahs, vultures, crocodiles and hippos among many other wildlife.
Other than the abundance of animals, this endless Savana boosts one of world’s biggest wildlife movement drama happens here every year from July to October which has been rated 7th wonder of the modern world. It’s the migration of wildebeests, zebras and gazelles crossing from Serengeti national park in Tanzania in search for greener pastures before heading back for calving.
Lake Nakuru attracts vast numbers of fabulously colored pink lesser flamingos among other wildlife such as Hippo, white and black rhinos, giraffe, lion, buffaloes, leopards and a profusion of many species of birds are also present at the shallow alkaline lake surrounded by forests.
Lake Naivasha is famous for its significant national freshwater resource in an otherwise water-scarce area, supporting a diverse community of waterbirds and many large and small mammals. The ecosystem provides an array of activities such as; Hiking to Mt Longonot, boat rides, walking/bicycle rides safari at Hells Gate national park encountering one on one with wildlife such as; giraffes, buffaloes, hippos among many others.

Leave from Nairobi driving towards the north eastern side of Kenya arriving Chogoria town in 4 hrs. It’s from here you’ll meet the rest of climbing crew and proceed for another hour after checking the entrance through the forest with high chances of spotting wildlife. Start your hike just after lunch taking a detour via the scenic Nithi Waterfalls reaching camp before dark.

After having breakfast, leave the camp to Mintos hut trekking along a single trail through alpine and moorland vegetation. The trek between the two camps there’s no water point so one should have enough water with him/her. Lunch will have been packed for you.

This is the most mentally, emotionally and physically demanding but walking at a sensible pace comfortable with your breathing, taking sips of water and mentally prepared you’ll eventually conquer yourself.
Wake up at 0200 hrs.’, have a simple breakfast and hit the trail in the dark for the summit [Point Lenana] catching up with sunrise on time. At the Summit, this is the most breathtaking moment and unforgettable experience of all. If the weather is very clear, Mt Kilimanjaro is visible from this point. After taking some photos start descending via Sirimon route passing by Shiptons Camp for full breakfast.
After like 1.5hrs relax, head down along the Mackinders valley reaching Old Moses Camp for overnight in 6hrs.

After breakfast you will proceed on a game drive in Lake Nakuru Park, known for its prolific bird-life including the famous pink-colored flamingos.

After breakfast have a nature bicycle ride in the Hell’s Gate National Park. This the only park in Kenya you can view wildlife on whether on foot or by a bicycle which are readily available to hire at the entrance. There are over 100 species of birds in the park, including vultures, Eagles, Augur Buzzard, and Swifts. African Buffalo, Zebra, Eland, Hartebeests, Thomson’s Gazelle, Giraffes, Warthogs and Baboons are also common.
