Masai Mara National Reserve is the largest game reserve in Kenya and Africa’s premier Safari destination. It is named in the honor of the Maasai community who are the ancestral inhabitants of the area.
It is globally famous for its exceptional population of the ‘Africas Big Five’ which includes; Masai Lions, African elephant, black Rhinoceros, Cape buffalo and African leopards. Other residents of this park includes; hyenas, wild dogs, giraffes, cheetahs, vultures, crocodiles and hippos among many more. One of world’s biggest wildlife movement drama happens here annually, the migration of wildebeests and zebras, thomson gazelles crossing from Serangeti National park in Tanzania to Masai Mara in search of pastures.
